Kitchen remedies
Eat vitamin-C-rich foods generously (amla, guava, citrus, capsicum, tomato) which the body needs to build strong collagen in vessel walls; add flavonoid-rich colour (berries, dark grapes, citrus pith, buckwheat) that traditionally supports capillary strength; keep vitamin-K greens (spinach, methi, broccoli) for normal clotting; and protein and iron foods for healthy skin and blood. Handle the skin gently and protect thin-skinned areas.

Cautions
Easy bruising is often harmless (age, thin skin, low vitamin C, or blood-thinning medicines). But bruising that is sudden, unexplained, widespread, or comes with bleeding gums, frequent nosebleeds or very heavy periods needs prompt medical checking, as it can signal a clotting or blood problem. Tell your doctor if you take blood thinners or steroids.
