Food-first comfort
Fuel with real food, not supplements: balanced meals built on whole grains (rice, roti, millets), protein (dal, beans, egg, curd, paneer, chicken/fish if eaten), and plenty of vegetables and fruit; a carbohydrate-plus-protein snack before and after activity (banana + milk, curd rice, peanut/roasted-chana + fruit); water before, during and after play, and extra in the heat; a good breakfast; iron- and calcium-rich foods for growing muscles and bones.
What to nourish
Whole grains, dal/beans, egg, curd, paneer, milk, fruit, vegetables, nuts/seeds (age-safe forms), water and milk to drink.
Never
Care at home
Growing, active children are powered best by ordinary balanced meals and water - no supplements needed. Focus on real food around activity, good sleep and fun; seek help if energy, growth, eating or periods look off.
