See a doctor if: Persistent one-sided swelling, sudden puffiness with facial/leg swelling (kidney/thyroid), or with breathlessness — get checked
Kitchen remedies
Cold cucumber/potato slices; chilled tea bags; rose-water pads; enough sleep; hydration; iron-rich diet if anaemic
Featured herbs
Rose (Rosa), Kesar/Saffron (Crocus sativus) [uncommon, in milk], Almond oil, Amla (dietary vitamin C)
How to prepare
Almond oil dabbed and lightly patted under the eyes at night. Cool rose-water or cucumber pads for 10 min. Saffron-milk internally as a traditional complexion tonic.
Cautions
Rubbing the delicate under-eye skin worsens pigmentation. Dark circles are often hereditary or sleep/iron related.
