Some research
See a doctor if: Black/tarry stools, vomiting blood, unexplained weight loss, severe or night pain, difficulty swallowing — see a doctor

Kitchen remedies

Cold milk sips; ripe banana; soaked raisins; coconut water; boiled rice-water (kanji); avoid chilli, coffee, empty-stomach tea; small frequent meals

Featured herbs

Yashtimadhu/DGL Licorice (Glycyrrhiza glabra), Bael (Aegle marmelos) [uncommon gut-healer], Amla (Phyllanthus emblica), Shatavari (Asparagus racemosus)

How to prepare

Licorice (DGL preferred): 1/2 tsp powder in warm water before meals. Bael-leaf or ripe-bael-pulp drink once daily. Amla juice 10 ml diluted, not on a raw empty stomach if it stings.

Cautions

Plain licorice can raise BP and lower potassium — keep short-term or use DGL; avoid in hypertension/pregnancy. Not a cure for H. pylori.
